THE PROBLEM
Trainer resources are scattered throughout the Biometrics site in various locations. Specific trainings are typically held once a month and trainers strain to remember how they got to certain resources since they access the materials infrequently. Trainers find themselves frantically searching for their training materials prior to facilitating their trainings.
THE SOLUTION
A dedicated trainer resource site. The trainer site will be the central place for trainer resources and materials. The site will make it easy for trainers to access all things trainer-related eliminating wasted time searching for resources.
PERSONA

"Every time I teach a class, I spend so much time looking for the presentation. I never remember where it is!"
Christine Lively
Clinical Data Manager

We focused on clinical data managers since 80% of our training offerings focused on the clinical data manager process.
PROCESS

Initial sketches
First I identified all of our existing training resources (links, templates, communications and documents) and created a master list. From the list, I grouped all the resources into categories that would become the bones of the Trainer Site.
INCORPORATING FEEDBACK
Through the focus group monthly meetings, we collected feedback from our trainers. Their insights helped us narrow down the categories and eliminate unneccssary interactions. For example, trainers disliked the hover-over menu since the menu disappeared with the smallest move of the mouse, so we eliminated it.
